Why Downloading The Interview Right Now Is A Bad Idea – CINEMABLEND

Hollywood ….. you STINK!!

Seriously??? You gave in to to the demands and threats of hackers??  Why?

Is it that Sony is afraid of more ‘not-so-very-correct‘  emails that may be released to the general public? By the way… regarding that …didn’t your momma ever teach you that you should NEVER write ANYTHING in an email that you wouldn’t mind seeing on the very first page of the New York Times or Wall Street Journal ???

My issue with what’s going on is this… First, I ENJOY watching Seth Rogen and James Franco on screen – they are entertaining! Second, I’m not sure why we are acquiescing to someone else’s demands… since when does America do that???  Really? Are we really  just going to pull the movie from being released and then walk away with our tails between our legs saying “Mea Culpa”?? Um, NOPE. Sorry.  Not me. I want to see this movie, was looking forward to it, and I think it’s ridiculous that they are preventing the theatrical release! Lastly, we live in a country that values FREEDOM. In fact, the very FIRST Amendment in the The Bill of Rights (written by our wonderful James Madison) states the following:

Amendment 1

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Now, Congress didn’t pull ‘The Interview’ from being released, but at this point, I’m starting to feel a need to petition the government! I mean seriously, if they do this now…. What’s next to be banned???

What do you think? Are you with me?
